Round-the-clock monitoring has freed our small team and improves our threat response focus
In terms of improvement for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, they just keep going full steam ahead. The biggest room for a house is the room for improvement, but as of right now, I don't have any complaints about CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR. Additional features that should be included in the next release of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR would be on-demand scanning. That is something we have to do manually. For instance, if a user plugs in a USB device, even though in our environment we have USB devices locked completely, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR will still read those devices even though they can't physically access them. If it does find malicious software, those are manually done still, and that's per the SLA. I have had a few of those that have come up, but those have been few and far between.

Centralized console enables efficient incident management and threat intelligence integration
I am struggling to export all alerts, such as those from the past five to six months, at once. I would like to extract these alerts in Excel format in one go, but I have not found this feature yet. I raised a ticket to the OEM, but I have not received a solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"My advice to others is this solution is good for finding security breaches in systems."
"The most valuable feature is that it has a zero-day approach. It does not work with the signature itself. It looks into what is happening on an endpoint and protects you better against threats that are not yet known but are captured in a signature. It provides far better detection than when it is only signature-based. You get much quicker protection against any new threat. This is the most important feature of the CrowdStrike solution."
"The most valuable feature of Falcon Complete is that it is a full security operations center (SOC) as well as a SIEM solution, and it is fully managed."
"It's not a signature-based solution, which is ideal for us."
"EDR and Next-Generation Antivirus (NGAV) are good features. The Spotlight feature is also good, and it also can detect patching-related vulnerabilities."
"The system is valuable as it is a fully managed endpoint protection service designed to stop breaches, detect threats, and respond to incidents effectively."
"I find CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR to be effective and stable, with minimal false positives."
"It is very simple to use and not overly technical."
"The tool has significantly improved threat detection and response times for my clients' organizations. The solution has performed exceptionally well, and my customers are pleased with both the performance of the system and the support they receive."
"I appreciate the detection and response methodology used against virus and ransomware attacks."
"Trend Micro Managed XDR can be used to manage all the layers, such as server, access, cloud servers, and email layer, and it is used for overall endpoint security."
"The features are such that MDR is a part of XDR, which includes different products."
"The response time to any issues is very quick, providing a high level of client satisfaction."
"The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Managed XDR is that it protects all of the layers."
"The initial setup is very straightforward. CIOs appreciate the ease of installation, server configuration, and the user-friendly dashboard."
"The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Managed XDR is the console."

Cons

"The licensing is a bit complex."
"What could be improved in CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is its management console. Currently, that console is on the cloud, so if the cloud is compromised, then the management console would also be compromised, and that's quite risky."
"The training provided could be better. There is a need to have more training to allow us to fine-tune our settings."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that it is pricey."
"The pricing could be lower; the solution is a bit expensive."
"The solution should include some sort of DLP capabilities."
"All of our customers complain about the reporting and say that it is very poor."
"Occasionally, navigating it to try to find what you want can be challenging because there is so much information there."
"The product could benefit from some improvements in its interface and organization. Functionality-wise, it performs well, but there's room for enhancement in terms of user-friendliness. There are ample resources like documents and videos provided by most vendors to assist users, although reaching out for direct support might not always be straightforward."
"The main drawback is the lack of local language support in Oman."
"I am struggling to export all alerts, such as those from the past five to six months, at once. I would like to extract these alerts in Excel format in one go, but I have not found this feature yet."
"Being cost-effective is crucial, allowing customers with lower budgets to access the services. Offering a range of services at various price points ensures that customers can find suitable options without being compelled to explore alternative products or vendors."
"There is a need for greater integration of non-Microsoft devices."
"Trend Micro Managed XDR could improve its support documents. This would allow us to explore the solution better and provide a better presentation to our customers. Addiontaally, there could be more automation features."
"On the financial side, it is quite expensive. If they could reduce the prices, it could attract more customers who are currently deterred by the cost."
"On the financial side, it is quite expensive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's expensive. Its price varies because it's a modular solution."
"At approximately €60 per machine, per year, I think that it's a good price point."
"The average price is approximately $500 per customer."
"It is a fairly firm price. It is not the cheapest solution, but if you take the complete team into consideration, it is a great value."
"There is a license needed to use the solution. The price of the solution is fair."
"The pricing is a little bit higher than other OEM competitors in the market, like SentinelOne and Trend Micro."
