Managed detection has strengthened our defenses and has provided real-time threat visibility
Sometimes we are facing performance issues with the end-user systems, and sometimes it is blocking a few of our applications, which we later resolve with the team. Recently, we were having our call center application running on the systems, which suddenly stopped working because CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR was not allowing it to run. After removing CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR, it started working, and then later we added the application URLs and the communication URLs to CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR allow list, so it started working. Some processor utilization needs to be dropped because now Windows systems are consuming more CPU and RAM than earlier. Windows 10 was fine, but Windows 11 is consuming more CPU and RAM. If CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR is contributing to consuming the resources, then other applications are taking a lot of time to run. In Windows 11, we are facing this issue sometimes, and we need more powerful systems than earlier. I would also appreciate improvements on the pricing side. Some of our locations where people are isolated, we are not buying CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR due to the pricing. If there is a nominal reduction in the price, then we will go for everyone in the organization.

I am struggling to export all alerts, such as those from the past five to six months, at once. I would like to extract these alerts in Excel format in one go, but I have not found this feature yet. I raised a ticket to the OEM, but I have not received a solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has good visibility, works well, and it is fast."
"The prevention capabilities hold the utmost value."
"It is working well. I tried a ransomware attack myself, and they were very fast in mitigating. I am very convinced of this product, and I am very satisfied with how it is working. The team behind the program itself is very valuable. If you don't have your own security team, they can do a great job for you. If your IT team isn't in the company, this can be of great value to you. Its documentation is very good. They have many different dashboards, and they do have a lot of information. Sometimes, it can be a bit overwhelming how much information is there, but once you find your way through with them, everything is very logical."
"Two of the most valuable features of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete are the remote terminal and unlimited IoCs."
"The most valuable feature of Falcon Complete is that it is a full security operations center (SOC) as well as a SIEM solution, and it is fully managed. Their security teams are working 24/7 and analyzing everything happening on all endpoints. They also take care of the instant response, which includes disconnecting endpoints, taking over the endpoints and fixing them, and ransomware protection. All of these things are most valuable because it is very difficult to get all the resources in-house to do all of that yourself. So, if you can leverage the experience of a global corporation with the best reputation in the market, and it is fully managed, that's the best."
"There's less workload on the endpoint."
"The most valuable feature is AML-based threat detection."
"Falcon Complete's best feature is detection. The interface is also user-friendly."
"The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Managed XDR is the console."
"The features are such that MDR is a part of XDR, which includes different products."
"Trend Micro Managed XDR has indeed enhanced our customers' threat detection capabilities. Many of our clients are utilizing it and have experienced positive outcomes. Overall, I would recommend it, especially considering the rising popularity of Trend Micro and its excellent product support."
"The response time to any issues is very quick, providing a high level of client satisfaction."
"The initial setup is very straightforward. CIOs appreciate the ease of installation, server configuration, and the user-friendly dashboard."
"I appreciate the detection and response methodology used against virus and ransomware attacks."
"The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Managed XDR is that it protects all of the layers."
"The tool has significantly improved threat detection and response times for my clients' organizations. The solution has performed exceptionally well, and my customers are pleased with both the performance of the system and the support they receive."

Cons

"CrowdStrike Falcon Complete MDR offers an optional module that might not be cost-effective for all organizations."
"The solution should include some sort of DLP capabilities."
"I want better integration with other security solutions; integrating with third-party apps wasn't as seamless as I expected."
"The one issue with Falcon Complete is that it can't be run manually if you find any viruses or malicious files in a post."
"We have a problem with the CrowdStrike Falcon Complete agent. It was closing the communication with the network or other computers."
"Their UI is a bit noisy."
"This solution is lacking in a recovery feature. If there is a full compromise, this product can't recover the machine, which results in us having to rebuild the entire system."
"I would love for the threat intelligence part to be more globalized to provide a tailored response to types of malware and ransomware that are trending in other regions. For example, they can add a feature to tell us that there are separate attacks in South Asia or East Asia occurring at these times, so we can supply those things to our environment and protect ourselves."
"On the financial side, it is quite expensive."
"I am struggling to export all alerts, such as those from the past five to six months, at once. I would like to extract these alerts in Excel format in one go, but I have not found this feature yet."
"On the financial side, it is quite expensive. If they could reduce the prices, it could attract more customers who are currently deterred by the cost."
"The main drawback is the lack of local language support in Oman."
"There is a need for greater integration of non-Microsoft devices."
"The product could benefit from some improvements in its interface and organization. Functionality-wise, it performs well, but there's room for enhancement in terms of user-friendliness. There are ample resources like documents and videos provided by most vendors to assist users, although reaching out for direct support might not always be straightforward."
"Being cost-effective is crucial, allowing customers with lower budgets to access the services. Offering a range of services at various price points ensures that customers can find suitable options without being compelled to explore alternative products or vendors."
"Trend Micro Managed XDR could improve its support documents. This would allow us to explore the solution better and provide a better presentation to our customers. Addiontaally, there could be more automation features."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing cost for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is fair, and I would give it a five out of five. You have to pay per device/user."
"This product is one of the more expensive ones on the market."
"If you are looking from an IT standpoint, you get what you pay for. There is proactive monitoring in addition to the insurance policy. They do that better than others. Would you like it cheaper? Yes, but at what cost?"
"It is a fairly firm price. It is not the cheapest solution, but if you take the complete team into consideration, it is a great value."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is very expensive in comparison to Bitdefender."
"CrowdStrike offers solutions with the same functionality for both large enterprises and small to medium organizations with competitive pricing."
"There are different lengths of licenses available, such as three and five years. The price of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is expensive."
"Falcon Complete could be a bit cheaper."
"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten."
"There is a subscription needed to use Trend Micro Managed XDR. We are on an annual license."
"The solution's pricing falls within a reasonable range—it's not the most expensive option out there, nor the cheapest."
"Trend Micro's solutions are considerably more expensive than competitors."
"The solution is cost-effective."
