Offers great reliability to users
Protection is an area in the product where improvements are required. If big companies want to use the tool for protection purposes, like security, which is a big thing people are looking for nowadays. Sometimes, the tool's user interface automatically puts all the files in a different place, making it a bit difficult to go deep and figure out in which folder a file is present. I need to search for a file and drill down to be able to find it. There are a few bugs in the tool, as with all content management tools, since the solution is usually used to deal with huge amounts of content. If the flow of the documents is huge, the tool might get slow for the end users, or when the data is being migrated or imported into the tools.

Offers the most simplest and easiest UI to use
I would not like many changes in the tool, but I think the 15 GB space provided by Google Drive Enterprise needs to be increased to around 25 five GB, as it would be really helpful for users. These days, the resolution of pictures and everything else has been increased. If you take a picture from an iPhone, it could easily be of around seven to eight GB. Photos are memories that one would want to keep or store properly. I believe that it is not possible to save a lot of photos in Google Drive Enterprise since it only provides 15 GB to users. The product does not offer a bit more storage space for users, which makes it an area that needs to be considered for improvement.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution operates in the background and it is attached to my Gmail account. When I download files to my phone, such as pictures, they automatically go to Google Cloud Storage."
"The feature we've found most valuable is the ability to access our data anywhere, anytime."
"The solution is easy to use and easy to manage."
"The most valuable features of Google Cloud Storage are flexibility and sustainability."
"The most valuable feature is the cryptographic technology."
"I find the accessibility from various devices to be the most valuable feature of Google Cloud Storage. I also like that it is integrated with Gmail and Google Groups."
"It is easy to use."
"The most valuable feature is that it frees up space in your device by allowing you to store your files on the cloud and provides 15GB storage for free."
"The solution's most valuable features are its flexibility and accessibility."
"I also use OneDrive, but I prefer Google Drive because it's available on many platforms and devices, so it gives a wide variety for backups, especially on Android systems."
"can create Google Docs links directly in Google Drive and choose whether to give edit or view access. As the owner of the link, I like that flexibility."
"Google Drive is much more stable compared to Dropbox. Dropbox is a catastrophic solution. I used Dropbox because I manage many files, and I lost files because the synchronization between Dropbox and my customer folder was unstable. I use Google Drive to back up my files. Google Drive is the best solution to manage the backup between my Apple computer and my personal computer."
"It's easy to access from an Android device and can access things like cyber security restrictions on USB drives, file size, and so on. Google Drive will be an option."
"Provides a secure backup to my data."
"The program is very stable."
"Offers good storage."

Cons

"Its security should be better from the data security point of view. It should be more secure, and it should get tightly integrated with products such as Google Docs and Google Sheets. Microsoft covers different kinds of tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel."
"An area for improvement is that when you share with others, they can see all your folders instead of just those you share. Only the folders you specifically share should be visible."
"The tool should increase its storage."
"They need more enhancements in the security features."
"It would be better to assign storage usage to different categories, because storage capacity is cumulative, if your Google album and email are both full, you will be unable to send or receive email."
"Google Cloud Storage could improve by having better integration with Microsoft Office files. When I open a Google document I would like it to be able to be opened with Microsoft. You can already open Google documents in Microsoft Office."
"The problem I face right now is that my data warehouse is being hosted on Google Cloud, however, integration between Google Cloud to Microsoft Azure is a big problem."
"Google Cloud Storage could improve by increasing the storage from 15 GB. If I want to have more storage I need to pay extra money."
"It might be ideal if we could increase storage more easily, however, I don't have much visibility on that and have never had any issues."
"There is really not too much that I think needs to be added to the product to improve it. Some of the features within Sheets could be enhanced so this product is a more complete replacement for Excel."
"I am not sure what will happen if you forget to renew your license."
"Lacks scalability and security."
"I would like to see the price reduced in the next release."
"I want better support, and I expect quicker support for any issues."
"There are still many restrictions on what the solution can do on the GenAI front, and much work needs to be done there."
"Google Drive Enterprise is not scalable."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"If you're ready to pay, they're ready to give you as much storage as you want. Considering the features that Google Cloud Storage provides, the pricing is reasonable. So far, I'm still using the free service from them because I'm able to meet my requirements with the free subscription. Maybe, in the future, if a storage requirement comes, I'll pay for it or go for the license."
"They know that the pricing is comparable with Azure, AWS, and those other solutions like Amazon are cheaper, but they are not as flexible."
"We don't pay for a Google Cloud Storage subscription."
"Regarding the cost of the solution, Google offers its users a pay-as-you-go model pricing."
"Approximately 800 to 1,000 USD is paid towards the licensing costs of the solution. The solution is neither expensive nor cheap, meaning it is moderately priced. There are no extra costs apart from the licensing costs of the solution."
"Better pricing would be helpful."
"It provides a very limited amount of storage because it's free."
"The solution was very cheap compared to other products."
"You need to pay an extra cost to use more space."
"It is inexpensive and the cost is per user per month."
"Google Drive Enterprise is free for everyone to use."
"I am using the free version."
"The product is available for free."
"Google Drive's price is lower than competitors. I have two accounts, including one with Apple that I use to manage some pictures and contact. I use Apple Cloud for only this purpose. I use Google Drive for everything else. Compared to Google, the price of Dropbox is high and the solution isn't good."
"You don't need to pay if it is within your storage limits. If you need more, you can have a corporate license. I don't know the pricing, but there is a corporate license. The extra costs would only be if you exceed these free limits."
"It has a yearly license."
