What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is scalable. We have around 70 users. In one company, we have around 20 users, and in another company, we have around 50 users. We will keep using this solution.

How are customer service and support?

Their technical support is very good. It is the best I've ever seen. I have not received such a level of support for any product that I have used in the past. Their response time is less than half an hour after the first call. Sometimes, I have received a call back in 10 minutes. Their knowledge and support are at a high-level.

How was the initial setup?

Its installation is super straightforward. The deployment duration depends on the number of users.

What about the implementation team?

I installed it myself.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It could be cheaper. Its licensing is on a yearly basis.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We didn't evaluate other solutions.

What other advice do I have?

I would definitely recommend this solution to others. I would rate Microsoft 365 Business an eight out of ten.

Works great on any kind of platform
Pros and Cons
  • "The feature that I have found most valuable is the ability to work everywhere on every kind of device, because I'm a Mac addict and actually it's quite good on the Mac."
  • "Sometimes it is quite hard to get a grasp on what features are going to be available at what time. For instance, we had to wait for a very long time on the breakout rules in Teams. There is a roadmap and there are also some blog posts, but you never know when you're going to get it. So it would be preferable to get it more in advance."

What is our primary use case?

Interestingly, for one of my customers it is a hybrid model. With several others, it's on-premise and some of them are moving towards cloud only.

What is most valuable?

The feature that I have found most valuable is the ability to work everywhere on every kind of device, because I'm a Mac addict and actually it's quite good on the Mac.

What needs improvement?

In terms of what could be improved, sometimes it is quite hard to get a grasp on what features are going to be available at what time. For instance, we had to wait for a very long time on the breakout rules in Teams. There is a roadmap and there are also some blog posts, but you never know when you're going to get it. So it would be preferable to get it more in advance.

Because it is such a large suite of applications, it would be beneficial to have less overlap. So for instance, you have the Power Platform and you have all kinds of applications that you can use. But there's also the Teams Platform, which has an overlap with Kaizala, and Kaizala is not developed anymore. So that would be something to think about.

The other feature that could be improved is the management of the Waffle, the start menu of Office 365. It is quite limited in how you can manage that menu. Some of my customers want to use it as a portal from a SharePoint perspective and they want to have some application files in there. They don't want the whole feature set. Waffle management could be better.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft 365 Business for about five or six years. I only started my company last February, so from my company perspective, it's only been a year. But I do have experience with Office 365 for many years now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In terms of stability, I haven't found any limitations, accept at the beginning of the COVID-19 period. Initiation of OneDrive and SharePoint was kind of tardy because of the massive use of Teams at that moment. So Microsoft kind of scaled down and that was noticeable, but that's basically it and it was fixed.

How are customer service and technical support?

I was in contact with technical support because my hosting provider could not find the problem. Microsoft contacted me directly within a matter of one hour or so, the issue was detected and it was solved within the next hour. So that was okay.

I am absolutely satisfied with Microsoft technical support.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is very straightforward.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It is a fair price but sometimes the licensing can be quite complex. In that case you have to fly in a license expert, but I think for small businesses it's very cost efficient. It would be beneficial if was be a non-profit license model for healthcare organizations. In this case, they tend to just use a limited amount of functionality in the Microsoft 365 because of the pricing.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to anyone considering Business 365 is to go use it. It is a brilliant service delivery solution for small businesses as well as for larger businesses that don't want to be responsible anymore for their on-premise environment because if that should fail there is a loss of information and a loss of productivity, which they cannot afford.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give Microsoft 365 Business an eight.

Exchange Online feature is helpful
Pros and Cons
  • "The Exchange Online plan is helpful. It's built into the email, like a security feature or AI that helps to manage email. It has helped my company and clients a lot."
  • "If Business 365's documentation were better, then the user could read it and fix their issues by themselves. Microsoft could also add some more detailed pop-up troubleshooting messages. When a user has a problem, the messages they get don't help much."

What is our primary use case?

It's a productivity suite, including Outlook email, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

What is most valuable?

The Exchange Online plan is helpful. It's built into the email, like a security feature or AI that helps to manage email. It has helped my company and clients a lot.

What needs improvement?

If Business 365's documentation were better, then the user could read it and fix their issues by themselves. Microsoft could also add some more detailed pop-up troubleshooting messages. When a user has a problem, the messages they get don't help much. It would be better if the messages can troubleshoot the problem and show them exactly what the solution is. Microsoft could also add some additional training resources.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been working with Business 365 for five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Business 365 is stable.

How are customer service and support?

We've never had to contact Microsoft support.

How was the initial setup?

Implementing Business 365 is easy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Business 365's price is reasonable. They offer different packages, like the E3 and E5. Generally, the small package is good enough for my clients.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Business 365 nine out of 10.

Scalable with a recognizable interface and great stability
Pros and Cons
  • "We're very comfortable with the solution. Since we've been used the product for so long, we're very comfortable with its functionalities."
  • "The only problem with 365 nowadays is that it expires."

What is our primary use case?

I'm using the solution for business applications. I'm using MS Word, PowerPoint  and Excel and the way I'm using it, it provides me with what I need to do my work.

What is most valuable?

We're very comfortable with the solution. Since we've been using the product for so long, we're very comfortable with its functionalities.

The solution is scalable.

The stability is good.

One thing that's nice with Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint,  is that  Microsoft and Esri, the manufacturer of ArcGIS, based in California, they have collaboration that provides ArcGIS tools, a mapping technology, within MS Office software.  You can easily drag maps into PowerPoint, for example, or use ArcGIS in Excel to put location context to information. You can immediately access ArcGIS while working within the environment of these tools provided that ArcGIS is on board as well.

Office applications have been the dominant application for business. In the Philippines, most of the applications are in the MS Office suite. One would want to build skills on these tools as they are what is required and in use in organizations. Doing this increases qualification.

What needs improvement?

The only problem with 365 nowadays is that it expires. Unlike before, when it would not, nowadays, most of the different tools, most of the computer applications licenses, expires. Even outside of the GIS, Geographic Information System, nowadays in the past couple of years, most of our products also expires.

For how long have I used the solution?

We've been using the solution for four or five years or so. I've used it for a while.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable. This based from our experiences in using it over the past three decades. It's very reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

In terms of the number of licenses, it is scalable. For example, if now you're using an Office application for five users, then you have the option to increase the number of licenses, to ten or 20 or more. It goes as big as you need it to.

How are customer service and technical support?

I've never directly dealt with Microsoft technical support. We have an internal ITP for that, which provides us with support. Therefore, I can't speak to how helpful or responsive they are.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Office 365, we used Microsoft products for a very long time. There's no problem with anything. From the old Office applications to 365, we have had Microsoft in our business for a very long time already.

What other advice do I have?

We are an end-user as well as a partner. We had a partnership before as a developer.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We're pretty happy with its capabilities.

User friendly, compatible most devices, and easy to use
Pros and Cons
  • "Microsoft 365 Business is user-friendly, easy to use, compatible with different devices, such as laptops and phones, and helps me get my job done."
  • "We are in a medical device space and most of the time we use Microsoft Excel for tracking a lot of information. In certain specific industries, such as aerospace and medical, from the FDA or other regulatory points of view, the solution has to be validated. It would be great if that validation document is provided by Microsoft 365 Business."

What is our primary use case?

We use Microsoft 365 Business at my company for many uses, such as document management.

What is most valuable?

Microsoft 365 Business is user-friendly, easy to use, compatible with different devices, such as laptops and phones, and helps me get my job done.

What needs improvement?

We are in a medical device space and most of the time we use Microsoft Excel for tracking a lot of information. In certain specific industries, such as aerospace and medical, from the FDA or other regulatory points of view, the solution has to be validated. It would be great if that validation document is provided by Microsoft 365 Business.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft 365 Business for approximately four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

There are times when I have many documents open and then Microsoft 365 Business crashes. However, I do not think it is a Microsoft issue, it is because too many things are operating at the same time.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Microsoft 365 Business a ten out of ten.

A stable, scalable and easily installable solution, with good collaboration abilities
Pros and Cons
  • "My favorite feature is the collaboration."
  • "Windows should be included with the solution since Microsoft is heading towards an SaaS-, cloud-based model."

What is our primary use case?

The solution is usefull for productivity, document editing and sharing, presentation of PowerPoints, spreadsheets, SharePoint threads and emails.

What is most valuable?

My favorite feature is the collaboration.

What needs improvement?

Windows should be included with the solution since Microsoft is heading towards an SaaS-, cloud-based model. It should include Microsoft Windows operating system. If I am going to buy Office suite, I should also get the operating system for this purpose rather than having to worry about purchasing a Windows license and a separate one for Office 365.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft 365 Business for about five years now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is definitely stable. I like the fact that one can use Office on the browser.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I believe the solution to be scalable, as it is cloud-based.

How are customer service and technical support?

I never had to open a case with technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use other solutions prior to Microsoft 365 Business.

How was the initial setup?

The solution is pretty easy to install, although this depends, as there are a lot of products. If one is talking about the entire Office suite, it could take about 40 minutes, although this  varies with a person's laptop.

What about the implementation team?

Installation can be done by oneself. Anyone can install Office.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price in general could be cheaper. Being overpriced is what is to be expected from Microsoft.

I believe the subscription to be monthly.

What other advice do I have?

While the software can be installed on-premises, the solution is cloud based.

The whole company makes use of the solution. It's on a global level, as the company is international. I would approximate there are 200 users using it in our company.

The product is known. As such, while I would not recommend it per se, I would do so for those who have familiarity with the Microsoft Office ecosystem. It's what they know.

Microsoft 365 Bus is great when it comes to productivity and I rate it as a nine out of ten.

Great load utilization tool and no need for an in-house IT team
Pros and Cons
  • "Offers a great load utilization tool."
  • "The Teams feature doesn't allow for sharing location which Office 365 had."

What is our primary use case?

Microsoft 365 has so many features that we're using including Teams and Sharepoint, as well as some items and plugins as part of Office 365 applications. We are customers of Microsoft and I'm an SAP architecture manager in analytics.

What is most valuable?

I really like the load utilization tool in the laptop and that everything is in the cloud. It provides data security and mobile access. There is no need to have infrastructure in the office or an in-house IT team which is great. I like having access to the SharePoint platform.

What needs improvement?

Unfortunately the Teams feature doesn't allow for sharing your location which Office 365 previously had. It's important for us to be able to share that information with other team members. I'd also like to see more storage because currently OneDrive gives 1 TB of space and we'd like more of that.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using this solution for over six years.

How are customer service and technical support?

Technical support instantly respond to me although it depends on the time difference. I think they are good, we haven't had any problems.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup takes less than 30 minutes. Anybody can do it although we had an admin person deploy for us. We currently have about 15 users in the company.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We pay a monthly subscription for the solution.

What other advice do I have?

I rate this product a nine out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises
