A user-friendly business solution that is stable and scalable
Pros and Cons
  • "It is easy to use. Because it is cloud-based, in terms of the user, you are not really affected in terms of performance when you are out of sight."
  • "It could be more secure, but we have not really had issues with it in terms of its security."

What is our primary use case?

We are only using it for emails.

What is most valuable?

It is easy to use. Because it is cloud-based, in terms of the user, you are not really affected in terms of performance when you are out of sight. You are not your own desk here, so you are not really affected by the issues of speed or because you are out of the premises. It becomes very easy to use. If you have been using Microsoft services, it becomes easier to move with this product. I find it straightforward.

What needs improvement?

It could be more secure, but we have not really had issues with it in terms of its security.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft 365 Business for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Microsoft 365 Business is quite stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is a scalable solution.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is not that complicated.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I think that the price is fair. You can pay it quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly, depending on how many users you have and your turnover. I think we have been doing it every six months.

What other advice do I have?

I think it is a very good product and would recommend new users to try it.

On a scale from one to ten, I would give Microsoft 365 Busines a nine.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

A great solution for file sharing, project management, emailing, meetings, and more
Pros and Cons
  • "Integrating products and the overall communication between all functionalities is superb."
  • "The pricing model could be improved."

What is our primary use case?

We use Teams for organizing projects. We also use it for conference calls and integration with OneDrive and SharePoint, etc. As we also have an account in Dropbox for file sharing, we're duplicating costs. For this reason, we'll probably abandon Dropbox and convert everything to OneDrive and SharePoint. It must be SharePoint because it is above one data byte. We have to make the structure in SharePoint and migrate it. In short, we use it for file sharing, project management, emailing, meetings, and so on.

There are eight people in our company who use this solution — we have eight licenses. The technical team consists of just me for the time being.

We plan to expand our use of this solution — we are contracting people. Within one or two years, we will probably double the number of licenses we have.

What is most valuable?

It's integrated and the file version control is quite good. Integrating products and the overall communication between all functionalities is superb. As it's part of Excel, Word, and Outlook, it's quite easy for everyone to catch up.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for more than five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Microsoft 365 Business is stable.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I've used a lot of products, including OpenOffice and other products for macOS applications.

I find that Microsoft is more integrated. That's why it's easier to use Microsoft instead of the other ones.

How was the initial setup?

The initial installation is quite simple. It's probably one of the most simple installations I've encountered. The overall setup took roughly two hours.

What about the implementation team?

I installed this solution by myself.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing model could be improved. Microsoft is always splitting the pricing for a lot of add-ons — it's complex to manage. Still, the licenses are available for a fair price.

What other advice do I have?

I would absolutely recommend this solution to others. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of nine.

Good productivity, a nice set of Microsoft applications on offer, and easily accessible online
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the fact that everything is online. It makes the solution very accessible."
  • "I thought that Skype was a part of the product's offering, however, it's my understanding that that is not the case."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution due to the fact that we use Microsoft. We use the various applications on the solution. We use it for our business.

What is most valuable?

The storage aspect of the solution is very useful for us.

I like that all the Microsoft applications, for the most part, are a part of it - including the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Our email is also included in it. Teams may also be a part of the solution - or it might be a part of Office 360. I'm not 100% certain. Either way, it has a huge umbrella of applications under it. The solution offers close integration with each and every Microsoft product. It's important.

The productivity of the solution is very good due to the fact that so many applications are all in one place and integrated together.

I like the fact that everything is online. It makes the solution very accessible.

What needs improvement?

I thought that Skype was a part of the product's offering, however, it's my understanding that that is not the case.

The Teams product in itself needs to be improved. It's not as robust as other communication tools, such as Zoom. It's unstable and it crashes often. It's been an issue throughout lockdown. They seem to have made updates on the product and yet it hasn't really improved too much.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for between six months and a year or so at this point. It hasn't been that long.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is reasonably stable, aside from the Teams aspect of the solution. That part is unstable. It crashes when you use it. It's not as stable as Zoom, for example.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of Teams is limited. If you add too many people, it will crash. If you're doing a presentation and communicating with a group of people, it tends to fail. I need to send my presentations ahead of time so that I don't compromise on my delivery during a session.

Overall, the solution is used company-wide. I'm not sure how many people are on it at any given time.

How are customer service and technical support?

I haven't dealt directly with technical support. I can't speak to how knowledgeable or responsive they are.

We have our own internal technical support team. If I need help, I would be directed to them specifically. The issues I've dealt with have all been handled internally.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used WebEx.

How was the initial setup?

I did not directly deal with the initial implementation. Someone handled the setup for me. I can't speak to how easy or difficult the process is or how quickly the deployment happens.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We pay a license fee in order to have this solution, however, that is handled by corporate. I don't know how many licenses we have on hand or how much we pay to Microsoft.

What other advice do I have?

I'm a customer and end-user.

I'm not sure which version of the solution we're using. I don't know the version number.

I presume that we intend to continue to use the solution going forward.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. If the Microsoft Teams portion was more stable, I would rate it higher.

Usable, available, and you can connect to it from anywhere
Pros and Cons
  • "It has file storage, file sharing, a provisioning box, and a SharePoint profile for each user."
  • "Updates to the SQL server with better features are needed to compete with Oracle Database."

What is our primary use case?

I decided to go with Microsoft 365 Business to be compatible with my friend's server.

What is most valuable?

This solution has everything.

It has file storage, file sharing, a provisioning box, and a SharePoint profile for each user.

It's useable, available, and you can connect to it from anywhere.

Also, I have storage and I can access my email.

What needs improvement?

The Team Exchange online needs improvement.

Updates to the SQL server with better features are needed to compete with Oracle Database.

In the next release, I would like to see more with endpoint security and with firewall security. Many other vendors are better than Microsoft in this field.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

This solution is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

This solution is scalable.

We have approximately six hundred users working daily.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have created tickets with the Microsoft technical team. They were good and I like the support.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy and straightforward.

It took ten working days to deploy, test, implement, and to see the effects before applying it to our users.

What about the implementation team?

I had a consultant integrator helping me with the implementation. We worked together.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others about this solution is to go ahead with no fear.

I would recommend this solution.

I would rate this solution and eight out of ten.

I like the ability to have your documents saved in the cloud for extra protection against computer crashes

What is our primary use case?

  • Bringing together all sectors of the company with a single goal
  • Integration in the whole set of products: Like other cloud platforms, Microsoft has done a great job of integrating its products with each other and with other third-party platforms. So, we can achieve our goals.

How has it helped my organization?

The integration of all Microsoft products into the cloud gives us a lot of flexibility on a daily basis. The whole company integrates in a unified way.

What is most valuable?

  • Share our desktops and computers for remote troubleshooting
  • The ability to have your documents saved in the cloud for extra protection against computer crashes
  • The ease of using different applications like Excel and Word. They are very easy to use.

    What needs improvement?

I think the Skype setup could be improved. It took a bit of research to figure out how to add a group of users, and we still needed each one to add the group. It would be nice to be able to administer this remotely.

For how long have I used the solution?

    One to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Pretty stable in most of its use so far.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

My impressions are the best possible; the tool has the power to raise production scalability without consequently raising costs.

How are customer service and technical support?

I needed the support just to clear some initial doubts. They were helpful and kind.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Yes. The cost benefit of the current service.

    How was the initial setup?

No. The initial setup was quite simple.

    What about the implementation team?

No. Our internal team made the implementation.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The cost benefit is well worth it. Support is effective.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    Google G Suite only.

What other advice do I have?

    Just it.

    Exchange Online feature is helpful
    Pros and Cons
    • "The Exchange Online plan is helpful. It's built into the email, like a security feature or AI that helps to manage email. It has helped my company and clients a lot."
    • "If Business 365's documentation were better, then the user could read it and fix their issues by themselves. Microsoft could also add some more detailed pop-up troubleshooting messages. When a user has a problem, the messages they get don't help much."

What is our primary use case?

It's a productivity suite, including Outlook email, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

    What is most valuable?

The Exchange Online plan is helpful. It's built into the email, like a security feature or AI that helps to manage email. It has helped my company and clients a lot.

    What needs improvement?

If Business 365's documentation were better, then the user could read it and fix their issues by themselves. Microsoft could also add some more detailed pop-up troubleshooting messages. When a user has a problem, the messages they get don't help much. It would be better if the messages can troubleshoot the problem and show them exactly what the solution is. Microsoft could also add some additional training resources.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been working with Business 365 for five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    Business 365 is stable.

How are customer service and support?

We've never had to contact Microsoft support.

    How was the initial setup?

    Implementing Business 365 is easy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Business 365's price is reasonable. They offer different packages, like the E3 and E5. Generally, the small package is good enough for my clients.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Business 365 nine out of 10.

    • "This solution could improve by having better integration with other platforms."

What is our primary use case?

We use the Microsoft 365 Business in our organization for many of the bundled applications within, such as SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

    What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of Microsoft 365 Business are the collaboration and it can be used anywhere. For example, I can carry out my job functions from home.

    What needs improvement?

This solution could improve by having better integration with other platforms.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft 365 Business for approximately three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    The solution is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    The solution is highly scalable.

We have approximately 500 users using this solution in my organization

    How was the initial setup?

The installation is straightforward and seamless.

    What about the implementation team?

We have some policies that only allow our IT department to do the implementations. We have a large technical team that handles the deployment and maintenance of the soltuion.

    What was our ROI?

By using Microsoft 365 Business it has saved us money because we do not have to pay for infrastructure. We do not have to implement physical servers or anything else in our environment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There is an annual license to use this solution.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend this solution to others.

I rate Microsoft 365 Business a ten out of ten.

Good interaction between different products, but the cloud version and the desktop version should have the same experience
    Pros and Cons
    • "The interaction between different products is most valuable. I use Excel, Mail, Teams, and PowerPoint, not really much else."
    • "Sometimes, it tries to be a little bit too clever in preempting things that you want to do. The settings can be pretty complicated. It has the desktop version and the cloud version. You can have settings in the cloud version that are impacting your desktop version, but you don't know because you can't see the settings like rules and other things. So, they need to think about the experience. It should be the same if you log in to the cloud or if you log in via desktop."

How has it helped my organization?

Some of the interactive stuff that is available on Teams has been useful during the pandemic.

    What is most valuable?

The interaction between different products is most valuable. I use Excel, Mail, Teams, and PowerPoint, not really much else.

    What needs improvement?

Sometimes, it tries to be a little bit too clever in preempting things that you want to do. The settings can be pretty complicated. It has the desktop version and the cloud version. For how long have I used the solution?

I've used Microsoft products for the last 20 years. I don't know for how long have we been on the current version. The upgrades are all centralized in the companies that I've worked for.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have contacted support, and it depends on who you get. I've had experiences where it took quite some time to get to the problem, but I've also had some really good experiences.

    How was the initial setup?

    It was quite straightforward.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate Microsoft 365 Business a seven out of 10.
