Real-time threat detection has improved with comprehensive asset scanning
The threat intelligence feature is expected to be a significant advantage. However, a section for software inventory and real-time comparison with current CVEs would be beneficial. One can review an inventory of assets being scanned, including a software inventory along with CVE updates based on a company's software subscriptions, would be a game changer.

Efficient email security and link scanning streamline network protection
One area for improvement is the user-friendliness of the UI. It is not intuitive to manage policies as I have to go through several pages to find necessary information. Additionally, the profile management for scanning and protection profiles is clumsy and could be more straightforward. There should be some simplification in changing profiles due to performance issues.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Arctic Wolf is laser-focused on providing top-notch customer service."
"The most valuable aspect of this solution is the managed detection and response component."
"The product provides integrations with several different SaaS applications."
"They provide useful quarterly updates."
"I highly recommend Arctic Wolf as they excel in ensuring the company is well-trained and updated on industry developments."
"The tool definitely saves money for our company's customers."
"The tool's most valuable feature is its ease of implementation."
"After an easy onboarding, the monitoring started immediately."
"Customer service and support are very good."
"I would rate the stability a nine out of ten."
"I like the EDR feature."
"If you're looking at an enterprise with centralized control, you can actually push the policies to all your clients' endpoints easily across VPNs."
"A lot of the AI that is running in the background that deals with the response on different detections is important, and the learning from the labs themselves is also very important. That's where they set themselves apart from others. A lot of the other products that are out there on the market probably have a lot more bells and whistles, but they are not necessarily directed at the heart of what MDR should do, at least in my opinion. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and in my opinion, if you're getting back to the basics and doing what its true intention is, they've done a very good job in comparison to others."
"Bitdefender MDR's integration capabilities have been smooth, leveraging cloud-based and various threat intelligence feeds. Bitdefender's array of technologies, including remote mapping and machine learning, with numerous patents, ensures effective threat management."
"The most valuable features include email security and web URL scanning, particularly the link scanning aspect."
"We find it extremely effective. We probably have over 500 endpoints, and we have not had any reports of viruses since we have installed it. It is very reliable."

Cons

"In the future, I would like to see a summary report."
"It can sometimes take up to an hour to get notification of a problem and that's a long time."
"I have heard that the tool doesn't go right to the endpoints."
"If you are not in the security field, this can be difficult to figure out from time to time."
"They focus on detecting administrator-level control compromises. Because they're focusing more on administrator-level compromise, they are less able to see if an individual user has been compromised. It is, admittedly, very difficult because they don't know what normal human behavior is. If a hacker compromises a human account and then acts just like the human, how are you ever going to notice, unless you have some inside knowledge of how the company works? For example, they overlook account lockouts on user accounts, whereas in our own alerting system, we do not. We review every account lockout, and if it is bad, we contact the person, whereas they think of that as noise because they're more focused on the administrator-level compromise."
"I would actually be interested in having fewer features at a lower price."
"It's nitpicky; however, if it could integrate with more of our products, like our CRM, that would be ideal. They may only integrate with Salesforce. We use a different mid-market CRM."
"While they do inventory assets, including software inventory and CVE updates based on software subscriptions, would be a major improvement."
"One area for improvement is the user-friendliness of the UI. It is not intuitive to manage policies as I have to go through several pages to find necessary information."
"The automatic backup isn't very big."
"For improvements, focusing on the commercial viability of markets like India could make it more accessible. The pricing structure, especially for price-sensitive markets like those in Asian countries."
"Bitdefender MDR consumes too many resources during scanning which further affects developers' productivity."
"They're doing a really good job. The throughput and the response time can always be better, but there's already a solution out there. It depends on how much and what tier you want to be a part of. The way they're designed is that if you pay for it, you can have a turnaround time in a very short amount of time. If you don't pay for it, your response time is going to be a little bit less. That can always be improved, no matter what tier you're on. It could be in terms of tech support, or it could also be things like getting the reports and getting the summary back from the labs. When something is detected, what did it all entail? There are a lot of those things. It's not all in one, but all of those are different branches."
"The lack of integration with Microsoft Outlook is a significant drawback."
"We need more updates as there are always more threats coming."
"One area for improvement is the user-friendliness of the UI."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the tool's pricing a nine out of ten."
"I find their pricing to be reasonable and competitive."
"The pricing is pretty competitive."
"The pricing is fair."
"It is more expensive than CrowdStrike, but it also has more features. I don't remember the amount, but I do remember that it was on the higher side. I believe we have five sensors, and the sensors have a yearly cost. We don't have any additional costs, but I know that if we have more features, they will add to the cost."
"Bitdefender fit well for customers with about 50 to 200 users. The price point is great, and you get a lot of bang for your buck."
"I know it is based on the volume and size and also on different multi-year agreements. There are different discounts applied, but I can't really speak about the specifics."
"It varies based on the number of licenses."
"As far as pricing is concerned, I would rate them not expensive, not cheap."
"I would rate the tool's pricing a four out of ten."
