Doesn't have daily updates, which is important for healthcare IT
I face challenges with the exclusion policy - it still scans folders we told it not to, causing issues. When we contact support, they tell us to update the latest agent, but we can't do that immediately due to medical device protocols and validation testing. I wish support would try to understand our issues better instead of giving this standard response. The machine learning feature they use often tells us to upgrade the agent or add things to the exclusion list, which isn't unacceptable. It's a very good and new technology as a tool and antivirus. But sometimes, it doesn't work properly with our medical devices and products, quarantining files it shouldn't even after we add them to exclusions. This is tricky for us.

Comprehensive protection with minimal false positives enhances threat management
Cynet's real-time threat detection has helped reduce risks for our organization overall. Cynet's centralized control feature is very user-friendly, has a good user interface, and is very convenient, requiring hardly one or two people to manage the entire console, which is not resource-heavy and automates many processes, making it very easy to use without alert fatigue due to low false positives. Autonomous Breach Protection has helped us mitigate threats proactively by being highly automated, requiring very few people to manage it for forensics and investigation due to its low false positive rate, which is less than 1.3%, and it doesn't consume much memory, making it light on the endpoints. Cynet is the only platform in the industry in the endpoint XDR that meets all steps of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, scoring on all 143 odd steps, with a false positive rate of less than 1.3%. Cynet's machine learning algorithms are very effective in adapting to new threats.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The CylancePROTECT agent is very low on CPU usage, so it has virtually no adverse impact on my servers, desktops, or workstations."
"CylancePROTECT is very stable - we've had no issues with performance and no errors or bugs."
"I rate the tool a ten out of ten when it comes to the ease of use or management part."
"Blackberry Protect offers endpoint protection. It's easy to deploy. It's scalable and stable."
"It actively monitors the behavior and activity of processes and will, without hesitation, terminate at root anything it determines to be suspect."
"The initial setup of CylancePROTECT is very easy."
"The Application Guard and ByteGuard are useful features."
"The deployment of updates is easy."
"It's transparent, so it's not something where every user has to press a button to download or do the thing. It is centralized, in fact. Personally, I use Malwarebytes and other tools, which are fine for home use. Cynet is also relatively silent in terms of operation, except when it's required to act."
"I like that you can implement it in the managed service portfolio."
"In terms of incident response, Cynet can contain attacks, offer a trial period to customers, and uninstall if not continued. The most valuable aspect is its integration capabilities, covering endpoints and network data for a comprehensive view of threats."
"A good feature is how the solution packages varied information into a single dashboard that's readable and meets our needs."
"Advanced detection and protection against ransomware paired with SOC monitoring are the most valuable features. They have 24/7 SOC monitoring and file activity. It is a very robust tool."
"Cynet is light and transparent when downloaded. The product's data aggregation is also valuable since you can see everything you need on a page."
"The valuable aspects of Cynet are its EDR and XDR components, which are available at a reasonable price point."
"I have found the continued support and pretty much all the features to be valuable. They all stand out as being positive. It continues to detect unusual activity when it's supposed to, and so far we haven't had any issues."

Cons

"Having worked with SentinelOne, Cylance is good, however, it probably needs to add a feature similar to SentinelOne's rollback functionality. With this feature, if you get infected, with a click, you can go back to the pre-infection state. If Cylance could add this functionality to their offering as well, that would be ideal."
"The product must make the interface a little more user-friendly."
"It was not effective. There were a lot of false positives, even when we use Adobe, and everybody uses Adobe, which is not a threat."
"The stability could be improved."
"Work on the math model. We are catching a lot of false positives, which gets to be a pain at the start of a deployment."
"I face challenges with the exclusion policy - it still scans folders we told it not to, causing issues. When we contact support, they tell us to update the latest agent, but we can't do that immediately due to medical device protocols and validation testing. I wish support would try to understand our issues better instead of giving this standard response. The machine learning feature they use often tells us to upgrade the agent or add things to the exclusion list, which isn't unacceptable."
"It is hard to manage."
"The solution’s technical support could be improved."
"Automation could be improved, and orchestration could be added to the features."
"They have automated response capability, and they're moving more and more into SOAR capability. They have built-in deception technology with host-file users, phantoms, etc. We used to call them honeypots. So, they're on target. They're doing a really good job, and they should continue to improve with SOAR."
"I cannot provide more details about Cynet's automation features. While Cynet claims to be automated, the specifics of this automation are unclear. They claim to have a high capability to detect and block attacks, but I am cautious about companies that claim to solve every problem without limitations. It does help in identifying malware on the network but doesn't specifically identify vulnerabilities."
"In future releases, I would like to see cloud security aspects included."
"Its dashboard is not so good. On the dashboard, they don't show the count for client endpoints, which is a failure of this product. This count should be shown on the dashboard. I have 1,000 clients, but I can't see it anywhere on the dashboard."
"In terms of what could be improved, I would say the usability of this product for new threats. Meaning, not everything which is new is properly seen by the product and not all the required actions are taken."
"Cynet should include complete Single Sign-On (SSO) services."
"Compliance reports need to improve."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This cost of the license is approximately $5 USD monthly per user."
"CylancePROTECT is worth the money, but I'm not sure of its exact price. I can't remember off the top of my head."
"The solution's pricing is around the same as most EDRs but slightly behind some of the major ones."
"CylancePROTECT's pricing is reasonable, at about €18 per user, per year."
"Shop around for sure and be assured the price you pay will be close to other solutions available, but even at a slight mark-up from the other solutions, you are getting real endpoint protection versus nothing more than a cheap security blanket that might keep you warm at night."
"We would just add more if there are new users, but right now you just need one license for per user."
"The price is reasonable for us at the moment. I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten."
"It's not so heavily priced; rather, it's average and decent."
"We purchase the product’s yearly license."
"Its licensing is on a monthly basis."
"Cynet is cheaper than other solutions in the market."
"Cynet is cheap."
"I don't have specific information about integration capabilities or licensing costs."
"Everything is included in this one solution and the pricing is pretty competitive."
"The price is very competitive."
"My company's customers have to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs of the solution. Cynet is not expensive."
