After experiencing a cyber attack within one of our organizations, we decided to implement Trend Micro Managed XDR, a highly intelligent solution that safeguards digital activity and responds promptly to threats identified by our security team. In addition, the tool also includes a skip feature, which has proven to be very useful.
We did not have a SIEM solution in our environment and were solely relying on an endpoint provided by Trend Micro. Additionally, we did not have any traditional software in place. To address our SIEM-related and software deployment needs, we opted for a static solution. This solution has not only been effective in protecting our end user's endpoint devices and machines, but it has also extended its protection to our production services. The solution's real-time response capability has made it an interesting and valuable addition to our organization's IT needs.
I appreciate the detection and response methodology used against virus and ransomware attacks. This feature is critical for any organization.
There is a need for greater integration of non-Microsoft devices. The integration capabilities and visibility of Trend Micro Managed XDR could be improved for Mac and Linux-based operating systems. While it is a strong product for Microsoft devices, there are currently some limitations when using other operating systems.
We would like to have return reports generated from the logs that are being generated in our cloud environment. Additionally, it would be useful to have more comprehensive reports available as a product feature. Since all of our log data is stored in the cloud, it would be beneficial to generate graphical reports for management to review and for auditing purposes. This information can also be shared with potential committee members. Ultimately, it is the management who is providing the financing for using these products, so it is crucial to provide them with the necessary information. A current security report is of utmost importance to us, and it is essential to generate this report quickly to make informed decisions. Improving the support segment may aid in achieving this goal.
Compatibility with custom applications, integration with new or third-party applications, and log parsing capabilities are areas where Trend Micro Managed XDR could be improved. It has been observed that the system does not pass all logs, and therefore vendor support may be needed to develop a custom solution to address this issue.

The complexity of the initial setup depends on whether our complete environment is recognized. Since we are using multiple types and versions of operating systems, it may be a bit challenging. Nonetheless, the product itself is straightforward and user-friendly. Trend Micro Managed XDR is easy to use and highly compatible, even with low-powered computing devices.
We have seen a return on investment.

If we use Trend Micro-based endpoints, we have access to a full portfolio of solutions from Trend Micro. This could be a good option for our next move. We could begin by implementing Trend Micro Endpoint and then follow up with the server-side solution, XDR, to continue our journey.
