I think Purview does as good a job...I'll say that it is as stable as the data governance maturity that exists within an organization. It can't be more stable than that.
Microsoft Purview Data Governance offers robust data protection in multi-cloud environments, excelling in classification and cataloging features for automated source connections. It integrates seamlessly with Azure, reducing operational burdens with automated processes and sensitivity labeling. However, it struggles with data lineage, limited non-Microsoft connectors, and lacks comprehensive documentation. Licensing complexities and restricted features also pose challenges, needing further development in automatic glossary management and data type detection.
