AI-based computer vision solves an important problem of capturing information from VDIs and images

What is our primary use case?

It was used for the automation of web-based applications in the banking sector. The challenge was to read information in image-based forms.

How has it helped my organization?

We built a use case out of the free community edition. There was a lot of support available from the community. Once we got the full-scale implementation, we were able to purchase a license.

What is most valuable?

There is a lot of scope to integrate more AI-based features that will help improve the reading of unstructured data.

The learning suite of the academy and the certification process itself was invaluable

What is our primary use case?

Performing automation on both client and company infrastructure, and improving existing service workflows.

How has it helped my organization?

Specific to our organization, implementing a dedicated service to automate payment processing and client billing allowed us to justify overhauling the existing person-driven process, and improve on that by eliminating areas for human errors.

What is most valuable?

The learning suite of UiPath Academy and the certification process itself was invaluable in actually teaching our team to use the tool over the course of several weeks, and it got rid of a series of potential miscommunications by ensuring technical proficiency across the developer and management levels.

What needs improvement?

Lack of macOS support this far into the project lifecycle is distressing. While boot camp and alternatives exist, that's another hurdle to cross for client implementation. Additionally, it's hard to drive an open source community and not have the tools to connect with GitHub natively, while promoting paid corporate alternatives like TFS.

For how long have I used the solution?

Less than one year.

The online academy was very helpful

What is our primary use case?

Production staff has to enter data manually in several apps which cannot be integrated via API. UiPath allowed us to automate most of the job, saving a lot of time in the process, which allowed us to move most of the team to more skilled tasks.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath made the production workflow more efficient, reliable and profitable. The licencing price and the time spent setting it up was paid for after a month.

What is most valuable?

  • It's very easy to learn and get started.
  • Developers got it right away.
  • All apps (desktop and web) were integrated without any issue.
  • The online academy was very helpful.

What needs improvement?

Debugging has some room for improvement, but other than that everything seems to be just amazing. UiPath is clearly headed in the right direction.
