Helpful to hold meetings and to improve workflow
Pros and Cons
  • "I never had any issues with the stability of the product. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
  • "It is not so easy to obtain information in areas like the number of participants, comments, and file transfers inside the application."

What is our primary use case?

I use the solution in my company only if there is a meeting, so I don't have much knowledge about it even though I am a user.

What needs improvement?

I think the tool should make it easier to receive reports related to areas like how many participants are there in a meeting, comments, and file transfers inside the app. It is not so easy to obtain information in areas like the number of participants, comments, and file transfers inside the application.

Making a recording and downloading it is not so easy on Webex.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have four years of experience with Webex.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I never had any issues with the stability of the product. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I believe that everyone in my company uses the product. There are more than 500 people in my organization using Webex.

The product is used once a week in my company.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have current experience with Microsoft Teams. I have used Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet.

After finishing a meeting, whenever my company tries to get certain recordings, Zoom or Skype provides it during the first 30 days after a meeting. With Webex, my company has to request the IT team to download and send the recordings of the meeting, making it a not-so-easy process.

How was the initial setup?

I rate the product's initial setup phase a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one means it is a difficult process and ten means it is an easy process.

Honestly, the employees in my company cannot download Webex, as the administrators manage it. I don't know about the time required to deploy the product.

What other advice do I have?

The product was helpful in improving workflow in my company, especially during the pandemic period, for reasons like recording training and showing some evidence of work.

In my opinion, the current appearance of the product is nice. There is no need for any change to be made in the appearance of the tool. I think that the present appearance of the product makes it easy for the people in our company to see what they want.

The product is very good. I understand the internal rules associated with the company's end in relation to Webex. Some of my colleagues have a personal room, and for them, it is easy to get reports, record meetings, and get downloads.

I recommended the product to others who plan to use it.

In my company, there is a need to use software for meetings. I think that Webex's competitors offer better tools.

I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.

Simple to integrate, helpful support, and high availability

I have been using Webex for approximately one year and a half.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

This is the most stable solution I have used.

I rate the support from Webex a nine out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have previously used other solutions, such as Teams and Zoom and I have had issues with conductivity requiring me to reload. I have not had any issues with Webex.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price of Webex is in the middle range compared to the market.

What other advice do I have?

Inside Webex, there exists a feature known as "At Hub." This feature is accompanied by a new browser that offers an array of impressive features and gadgets. Moreover, it enables you to incorporate these elements into your own website. I highly recommend giving it a try and utilizing the app assistance available to explore the extensive range of excellent products within the Webex hub. You're bound to be pleasantly surprised by what awaits you there.

Many customers are already utilizing Cisco phones, which offers a significant advantage. By using a Cisco phone, they can effortlessly join Webex meetings or video conferences through their designated video test or conference endpoint. However, it's important to note that this capability is also available with other platforms like Zoom and similar services.

I rate Webex a nine out of ten.

Easy to set up and connects users remotely with others without a glitch; has a user-friendly platform and good technical support
Pros and Cons
  • "I appreciate the developers of Webex because it's a wonderful tool. What I found most valuable in it is the seamless experience it offers, in terms of connecting with any person at any time remotely, without any glitches. This is the main advantage of Webex. I also like that the platform is user-friendly, so anyone using the tool for the first time won't find any difficulties when logging in or accessing it."
  • "Currently, I'm unable to find any loophole in Webex, but in terms of areas for improvement, it would be better if a user is informed about any new updates or new features added to the tool."

What is our primary use case?

We use Webex to connect with other people. We also use it for external training purposes.

How has it helped my organization?

It enhanced productivity and business efficiency.

It is highly recommended for remote connecting within and outside organisation.

What is most valuable?

I appreciate the developers of Webex because it's a wonderful tool. What I found most valuable in it is the seamless experience it offers, in terms of connecting with any person at any time remotely, without any glitches. This is the main advantage of Webex.

I also like that the platform is user-friendly, so anyone using the tool for the first time won't find any difficulties when logging in or accessing it.

What needs improvement?

Currently, I'm unable to find any loophole in Webex, but in terms of areas for improvement, it would be better if a user is informed about any new updates or new features added to the tool.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Webex since 2015. I used it initially in my previous company until 2020, then I joined my current company, and the tool is still being used here.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Webex is a stable tool.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Webex is a scalable tool.

How are customer service and support?

It's our IT team who contacts the Webex technical support team and we're getting good support from our IT team, so this directly implies that Webex offers good technical support.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

Webex is very easy to set up, and any person can use it, as it has a user-friendly interface.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I don't have information on Webex pricing because I'm just a user, and I wasn't involved in purchasing the product, but from 2015 to 2020, in my previous company, I used the paid version of the tool, but today, in my current company, it's the free version of Webex that's being used.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated Teams and Skype apart from Webex.

What other advice do I have?

Webex is deployed on the private cloud and my company uses it to connect with people remotely, whether it's a company employee, a training provider, or a third party such as a customer.

Approximately five hundred people use the tool in my company.

The advice I would give to others looking to start using WebEx is to go for it because it is a versatile tool that connects you with another person easily, remotely. It's also a very user-friendly tool and there's no issue in terms of setting up and accessing WebEx, so overall, I can tell people to go ahead and buy it.

My rating for Webex is eight out of ten.

Comes with good security features but not as user-friendly as Zoom
Pros and Cons
  • "During Cisco training sessions, I found Webex effective in improving productivity. I benefited from the training. However, I can't speak for others using Webex for daily work or jobs."
  • "I think Webex could be improved by simplifying the process. For instance, they could make it easier to join meetings by providing a direct meeting link without requiring sign-ups or logins. While security is important, finding a balance with user-friendliness is key."

What needs improvement?

I think Webex could be improved by simplifying the process. For instance, they could make it easier to join meetings by providing a direct meeting link without requiring sign-ups or logins. While security is important, finding a balance with user-friendliness is key.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've used Webex for about two or three years, mainly for Cisco training sessions. After that, I haven't used Webex much. However, I've been using Zoom more recently for my online classes with students.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution's stability depends on the company.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the tool's scalability a five out of ten. It might be more scalable for larger companies with specific needs. My company had ten users as part of the training.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't contacted the tool's technical support yet.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Webex can be complicated compared to Zoom, especially regarding security settings. With Zoom, users need a meeting ID and password to join, making it more straightforward. While both platforms offer secure connections, Webex may feel more rigid and less user-friendly, especially for non-technical users. However, Webex has been updated recently so that improvements may have been made.

How was the initial setup?

Setting up the tool on my computer wasn't too difficult, but it wasn't as straightforward as Zoom. I had to install the Webex application and navigate through the interface, which felt a bit more complex, especially for business settings.

What other advice do I have?

During Cisco training sessions, I found Webex effective in improving productivity. I benefited from the training. However, I can't speak for others using Webex for daily work or jobs.

The Webex security features are good because you must log in before joining a meeting. However, it's a bit less convenient than Zoom, where you need a link to join.

I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten.

Offers a straightforward initial setup phase
Pros and Cons
  • "The product's initial setup phase is very straightforward."
  • "The high price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."

What is our primary use case?

In our company, we had to increase the usage of Webex after we found out that when we were using Cisco's teleconference software, external users could not join meetings. When I create a meeting in Webex, my company can hold meetings and use teleconference software.

What needs improvement?

From an improvement perspective, Webex should be able to have recording features.

From an improvement perspective, it should be possible to integrate Webex with other platforms.

The high price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have experience with Webex for years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a very stable solution. I rate the solution's stability a six out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is an easily scalable solution.

I don't know how many people in my company use the product. I conduct most of the meetings with the help of the tool for around 50 to 100 users. I also need to consider how some people prefer Zoom while others prefer Webex.

How was the initial setup?

The product's initial setup phase is very straightforward.

The solution is deployed on the cloud.

The solution can be deployed once a user downloads, installs, takes care of the setup of a meeting, and then arranges for a device to attend it.

The solution can be deployed in less than ten minutes.

What about the implementation team?

The product can be deployed with the help of the company's in-house team.

What was our ROI?

The product is worth the investment since it helps our company to hold meetings and other business-related sessions for people to attend. In my opinion, the ROI of the product is fine.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There is a need to buy a subscription-based license to use the product. You need to make yearly payments towards the licensing charges of the product. You need to opt for a subscription-based licensing model for your organization. The product is a bit expensive.

What other advice do I have?

In our company's day-to-day business operation, we use Webex to hold our internal meetings and for those who want to join certain meetings remotely. The tool is connected to two offices, the head office and a branch. The teleconference software part of Webex allows external users who need to join a meeting. Sometimes, Zoom or Microsoft Teams can be used as alternatives if there are some stability issues with Webex. One can switch between the options.

Webex has simplified remote work in our company the same way Zoom has helped us. Webex has helped with the meeting part, specifically virtual meetings. It has helped ease business. I also have to ensure that our staff or external execs join Webex sessions without any issues.

Speaking about the most valuable aspect of the product for team collaboration, I find the whiteboards and control or the ability to share, especially when troubleshooting with a remote user, useful. Webex allows its users to easily share screens with other users, so users can look at the screen to see what the other person or user is doing.

I have not tried the integration of Webex with Zoom. If people from Zoom and Webex can join a meeting together there would be a lesser need to set up for a meeting. Anybody with Webex or Microsoft Teams can still join the same meeting that has been set up on Zoom. The ability to join a meeting should not depend on which application one uses.

The video quality of the product is good. There has been a lot of improvement in the tool's video quality.

I think the tool has security features because most of the calls on it are encrypted, so you can be sure that nobody is trying to listen or eavesdrop on the different sessions you have on the product. Depending on how a host o has set up the meeting, others can join and connect easily. When you closely look at the sessions in the tool, I think the tool has improved, and everything seems fine.

I suggest others start using the product since they can see added features in the product over a period of time. I recommended the product to those who plan to use it.

I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

The appointment scheduler offers great compatibility with the tools under the same brand
Pros and Cons
  • "Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
  • "The accessibility of the share screen option provided by the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of the solution is the appointment scheduler that sends messages and communicates the meeting time to the parties involved in the meeting. Webex's share control feature is also good.

What needs improvement?

The accessibility of the share screen option provided by the product is an area of concern where improvements are required.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Webex for the past nine months. I am a user of the product.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

There are 15,000 to 25,000 uses of the product in my company.

Webex is used once a week in my company. Most of our company's customers prefer Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.

How are customer service and support?

I hardly have experience with the solution's technical support. I rate the technical support an eight out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

My company has experience with other solutions, but we switched to Webex since it provides an appointment scheduler compatible with Cisco solutions.

How was the initial setup?

I rate the product's setup phase a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one means it is a difficult process and ten means it is an easy process.

The solution is deployed on the cloud.

What about the implementation team?

I was involved in the deployment of the product in my company.

What other advice do I have?

Our company prefers to use IBM Video Streaming and Zoom to handle large-scale virtual events or webinars. For large-scale events, I do not use Webex.

For daily team collaboration in my company, we don't use Webex since we have a product named Slack.

I cannot comment on the video quality offered by the product since I am not very aware of it.

The unique integrations offered by the product include the appointment scheduler. The appointment scheduler is a good option because it schedules meetings. The tool also integrates with the CASE command and updates the calendar and Salesforce tool. The integration with the calendar looks fine.

I rate the ability of the product's security and privacy features to meet our organization's requirements as a ten out of ten.

I recommend the product to those who want a product that could help them with their communication and collaboration needs.

I rate the overall tool a nine out of ten.

Offers a straightforward initial setup phase but needs to reduce the frequency of updates
Pros and Cons
  • "The product's initial setup phase was very easy."
  • "I have had issues with the frequent updates from Webex."

What is most valuable?

The product users, one in particular, liked the tool when it worked. My company managed to switch most of the users to Zoom, which worked flawlessly.

What needs improvement?

I don't like Webex. Some of the users of the companies I used to work for could only use the tool with certain clients who used only Webex, so even my company had no other way to deal with them. It wasn't a good experience for me using Webex because it stopped working all of a sudden, and I had to reinstall it. During the last month, my company switched to WebClient, and it seemed to fix the issues we were facing with Webex. The aforementioned area can be considered for improvement in the solution.

The solution's local technical support needs improvement.

I have had issues with the frequent updates from Webex. From an improvement perspective, I would like to receive fewer updates from Webex.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have five years of experience with Webex.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I don't know how to specifically rate the product's stability since it was a solution that used to function properly when it worked. I can rate the tool's stability an eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is a scalable solution since it is available in the cloud.

When I left my previous company, I saw that there were only five licenses, and the organization had started off with around 50 users.

How are customer service and support?

I have received the solution's local technical support but not from Cisco, and I felt it was very slow and not knowledgeable. I am sure that Cisco's direct support is great.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I am mainly using Zoom. Zoom is easier to use than Webex, and it also seems to be faster in the beginning phases.

How was the initial setup?

The product's initial setup phase was very easy. The management console is easy to use.

The deployment part is not hard as the product is on the web.

The solution is deployed on the cloud.

The solution can be deployed in a few hours.

What other advice do I have?

I don't know how the product was useful in improving the work associated with remote workforce, but I know that my company used it for meetings.

The video quality offered by the product is perfect and has no issues.

I recommend that others go ahead and use the product.

I never tried to integrate Webex with other tools.

I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

Has outdated technology and chat button is difficult to find
Pros and Cons
  • "The transcripts from Webex calls get delivered to the inbox five minutes after the call. However, out of 20 people on a call, maybe only one person bothers to read through the entire transcript, which can be lengthy for an hour-long call."
  • "Although we utilize it for team collaboration, it's not very efficient. Most people don't bother turning on their video during meetings. We feel stuck in the past, relying on outdated technology."

What is most valuable?

The transcripts from Webex calls get delivered to the inbox five minutes after the call. However, out of 20 people on a call, maybe only one person bothers to read through the entire transcript, which can be lengthy for an hour-long call.

What needs improvement?

Although we utilize it for team collaboration, it's not very efficient. Most people don't bother turning on their video during meetings. We feel stuck in the past, relying on outdated technology.

We had 20 people on a call, and whenever someone wanted to use the chat, they struggled to find the button. It was like a constant hunt for the chat feature, especially when you're presenting. It could feel quite desperate at times.

What other advice do I have?

I haven't used Webex's file-sharing and messaging features much. Our work involves sensitive information, so we rely on other platforms for file sharing. However, Teams is an exception, where we occasionally share files and information, mainly through the chat function. I rate the overall product a two out of ten.
