Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Useful tunneling, beneficial enterprise integration, and priced well
The scalability of MobileIron UEM is good for on-premise and cloud deployments. MobileIron UEM has given the customer the ability to manage how many devices they have. If they have more than 10,000 devices, they need to upgrade the server. For example, they might need to upgrade the CPU or memory, et cetera. We have approximately 5,000 to 10,000 users using this solution.

Simplifies device management, making performing various administrative tasks easier
Sometimes, the server gets slow. The dashboard is only getting loaded. Jamf Pro offers many features, but some improvements could make it even more user-friendly. For example, streamlining authentication controls would enhance its security value. Too many complex settings on the dashboard make it hard for users to navigate. Simplifying the settings would make it easier to use. Adding a more interactive and cleaner UI design would also improve the user experience. Additionally, automatically categorizing policies and configurations by type would be helpful, making the dashboard more organized. Introducing auto-filtering based on categories would streamline configuration management. On the security side, enabling two-factor authentication for console login would provide better protection than single sign-on. Only authorized users can access sensitive data, like the asset inventory stored in the console. 2FA would help keep the system secure, preventing unauthorized access even if login credentials are compromised. Device management needs automation, and Jamf is likely to integrate Apple's Apple Intelligence into its framework once it's available. This integration is expected to be a significant enhancement for the Jamf console, potentially transforming the way device management is handled.

"Everything has worked better since we started using Intune."
"Maturity makes it a stable product."
"One of the most valuable aspects of Microsoft Intune is its seamless integration with Azure Active Directory, offering capabilities akin to Group Policy Objects."
"The initial setup is not complex."
"Intune is effective because of the configuration management and endpoint security it provides. The graphical interface makes it easier to configure and deploy devices."
"The security-related tools are excellent; these features allow us to secure devices, lock them down, and ensure compliance."
"The company provides great customer service."
"The products are quite good when they are operational."
"The most valuable features of MobileIron UEM are tunneling and enterprise integration."
"The most valuable feature is that everything is in one place, which makes it easy to manage."
"The products are quite good when they are operational."
"It's effective in what it is able to achieve and it's easy to use."
"The user interface is user-friendly."
"Apple School Manager integration and access to VPP content made the integration of devices into our fleet flawless and application installation much simpler and faster."
"Microsoft SSO integration allows us to set up email remotely for users without them having to do anything other than entering their password."
"Jamf Pro has allowed us to make sure settings for our devices are easily installed so our end-users don't need to worry about a significant amount of steps for setup. We also use this to send applications to devices."
"I have found the most valuable feature to be the policies."
"I can set policies to manage devices by many variables OR keep it simple by leveraging DEP to assign new devices the standard apps."
"The remote wipe and lock features are by far the best tools."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to manage all devices through Apple's DEP and forcing them into Jamf pre-stage enrollment."
"We have been able to keep our tech department lean and mean, maximizing our efficiency by utilizing Jamf to set up our iPads for us, rather than installing each app one at a time."

Cons

"I rate Microsoft support between six to eight. The support often involves third parties hired by Microsoft who are knowledgeable, but sometimes the help I receive is not adequate."
"There is improvement needed in integrating with the installed Office solutions versions, such as Office 2019. The Office 365 integrates without a problem."
"When we implemented Intune, it would have been helpful if Microsoft had provided some videos or data about Intune."
"Not all technicians are knowledgeable of the Microsoft solution, so they have to work on that as well."
"It would help if administrators could pinpoint the exact location of a stolen device to help law enforcement retrieve it and apprehend the suspect."
"Onboarding of endpoint devices is not straightforward. The onboarding process was a little heavier than I thought it would be. That's the key improvement area. Obviously, the more control you have over the devices, the better it is."
"I'd suggest adding more features for macOS in Intune. There should be more functionality for managing macOS. There should be a better capability for pushing things down on macOS. Currently, Intune is not capable of managing macOS at the same level as Windows."
"Microsoft Intune is not as fast and extensive as traditional solutions such as SCCM and others."
"The interface is complicated and not very easy to use."
"We would like the initial setup to be simpler."
"The integration between the MobileIron and Advanced Neurons isn't completely in sync, and we're still working on that."
"The release of new versions often goes in the wrong direction with Ivanti."
"UI needs an upgrade, feels very outdated."
"MobileIron UEM could improve the monitoring of devices."
"The release of new versions often goes in the wrong direction with Ivanti. The test team or the testing procedures are flawed because they release new versions with numerous basic issues."
"I would love to see more integration with ASM and ABM."
"The cheaper Jamf School is also a product that has been acquired and decked out to meet more educational needs for a good price. Some features of Jamf School aren't (yet?) available in Jamf Pro and for educational users/customers of Jamf Pro, it would beneficial to have these available in the Pro version too."
"We would like to have some of the extension attributes configured so that those extension attributes can be part of the core structure. They can make some of the extension attributes the actual attributes. They shouldn't be like add-ons."
"The patch management is not automated in any way, and you have to do a lot of manual work to upload the current version of applications."
"Jamf Pro should be standardized into one MDM product to make it more affordable and accessible."
"Technical support is in need of improvement."
"It would be nice to be able to search smart groups and/or filter them."
"The patching can definitely use a little bit of improvement. They should make it a little bit more automated."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In terms of the product price and licensing costs, my company finds the product to be reasonably priced."
"If you're ever going to buy an Office 365 environment, then pricing is reasonable given all that it does, but if you're not, then you might find the pricing expensive."
"Microsoft Intune has been incorporated into our Microsoft E5 licenses."
"If you're subscribing to Premium or E3, there are no additional costs for Intune, it's included."
"The price could be better."
"I rate Intune five out of 10 for pricing. It's expensive."

"For Microsoft 365 E5 clients, cost is not an issue as this product is one of the benefits."
"My impression is that MobileIron is very expensive."
"The price of MobileIron UEM is very good."
"The cost of any licensing is certainly outweighed by the time saved from manually managing Apple devices."
