We can manage all aspects of our devices from a single console, easy to scale, and quick to deploy
Intune has many benefits from the Microsoft perspective. This solution can manage Windows 10 devices, app management, and provide security solutions. We don't need to worry about our network connection, and we'll be more secure with regular security patches and compliance. Since everything will be deployed through the internet and users will log in using the internet only, the risks have been mitigated. Security updates, security patching, and the application will be targeted from Intune. The location tracker will be available to track where the device is and the user's location. The user will be restricted from accessing certain applications using compliance policies. Conditional access policies will be based on the reason why the user needs access to the application. Microsoft Intune is one of the best products in the industry for managing Windows devices. The solution has more feature restrictions. The conditional access policies also eliminate the dependency on the on-prem network for the devices. The solution also manages our security settings and a lot of other beneficial features such as Microsoft Purview which gives us the compliance portion. We can manage all aspects of our device from a single console, including M365 services. This allows us to configure data classification types, such as public, private, internal, confidential, and highly confidential.

Easy to manage, cheaper cost and efficient for security needs
Sophos is very simple and direct to the point. I cannot recall any challenges with the deployment process. Deployment time: For a single device, it only takes two to three minutes, it also depends on the connectivity. But with a reliable connection, it takes only two to three minutes to install the software. Once installed, as long as there is an internet connection, the device can be discovered in our cloud deployment. Our network support team works on Sophos. I believe we have integrated it into our Active Directory. Deployment model: The subscription itself, Sophos Central, is already cloud-based. It's software as a service, directly from Sophos.

Effective with good threat prevention yet has a need for simpler setup on iPhones
I am reselling various Trend Micro products. For small business customers, I typically recommend the Worry Free product line, which includes Worry Free Services. Apex One and VisionOne are also part of the offerings In terms of threat prevention, the web reputation feature is usually the most…

Cons

"The closest Microsoft Intune can be to GPOs, the better. There needs to be more granularity on application deployments. However, they have done better recently with the application deployments."
"The worst aspect is the reporting."
"The current Intune reporting functionality could benefit from some improvements."
"Microsoft Intune lacks the ability to provide seamless remote assistance or remote control."

"One area that could be improved is the compatibility with all mobile platforms, including iOS and Android, especially with the older versions."
"For Sophos Mobile, it is difficult to get good support."
"We have experienced issues in updating iOS devices when we set a minimum version requirement policy, and we do not have the option to force automatic installation. This means that the device must be supervised in order for updates to be applied, which we would like to see improved."
"There's a need for better protection against hackers trying to access key accounts such as bank accounts."
"The product does not work well in iOS."
"The setup should be made easier."
"Sometimes, when generating random numbers to our mobile feed the random number doesn't work. We mainly deal with QR codes because of this. If they could fix the random number generator that would be helpful."
"When the agent upgrades itself, it loses some settings and they need to be re-enabled manually."
"Contact Backup."
"The main challenge with Trend Micro Mobile Security for iPhone users is the complex setup process due to Apple's stringent security requirements."
"There have been some users who have been complaining about the interface being unfriendly and when the application software is installed on their phone making their mobile slow."
"There is always room for improvement in security."
"The iOS protection: This is because Apple will “close” your smartphone."
"Trend Micro tends to drain the battery running in the background, but apart from that, they need to improve their updates."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have a limited budget for security investments, so Microsoft should consider reducing pricing in our region. This would make investment more viable, especially since larger businesses in other countries can afford it easily."
"Generally, we get favorable discounts, so it's not too bad. Obviously, we're looking at decreasing those wherever we can to bring value back to the public purse because it's all charity based. It's all publicly funded."
"Intune is linked with Microsoft. We can deploy the Microsoft E365 license to users by Intune. There are different types of licenses, such as device administrator licenses, E5 licenses for device enrollment manually, and P1 and p2 licenses for device enrollment automatically. These are the licenses required for the administration."
"Intune is available as an individual product, but it also comes with Office 365 Premium or an Enterprise license, and the price varies for each version."
"The product is relatively pricey, but considering its benefits, I'd say it's fair. The benefits outweigh the expensive licensing fees, especially for large organizations, but medium-sized and smaller businesses may be unable to afford it."
"Microsoft licenses are costly."
"On a scale of one to ten with one being the cheapest, the cost of Microsoft Intune is a five."
"It is not a cheap solution. The price for a device when you start using it at a large scale can be improved. It is covered under our enterprise agreement. We pay once a year. I am not aware of any additional costs."
"It is a cost-effective solution."
"The licensing is paid on a yearly basis."
"The product is not suitable for smaller companies because its price is high."
"My company needs to make yearly payments for the licensing charges attached to the product."
"Apple is starting to do beta testing with their own solutions and for much cheaper than Sophos Mobile's price."
"The licensing fees are paid based on a one-year or two-year subscription."
"Sophos Mobile is inexpensive."
"Very cheap in cost"
"We have a license that we renew yearly."
"Each license costs about $10/year. It's fairly inexpensive because it's a new product. In Pakistan, no more than two or three companies can apply for mobile protection right now. I don't know if there are ancillary costs above the standard licensing fee."
